    ALTAI TAVAN BOGD NATIOANAL PARK /HIGHEST SNOWCAPPED PEAK/
Stunning Altai Tavan Bogd National Park follows Western Mongolia's border with China and Russia, and is the greatest attraction in Western Mongolia. The Park really does have it all: beautiful valleys, alpine lakes, rivers, glaciers, and the highest peaks in Mongolia. This natural richness gives rise to a host of activities; most visitors will do some hiking or horse riding, but there are fantastic opportunities for the better equipped or organized to try fishing, climbing, rafting, or back country skiing.    BAYAN-ULGII AIMAG /KAZAKH PEOPLE/
Bayan-Ulgii aimag (province) is located in the West region of our country. It is bordered with Russia and China. 97% of the population is Kazakh whereas the rest 3% are Mongolian minority groups, such as Tuva, Uriankhai and Zakhchin. Kazakh life style and habits are differed from Mongolian due to different reasons. Most of the population is Muslim. By traveling to Bayan-Ulgii you will not only experience a wonderful sightseeing, but you will visit a Kazakh family as well. Despite these, you will be able to visit a Kazakh host family and get a photograph with an eagle on your hand.

 

   KHURGAN KHOTON LAKE
Lake Khoton Nuur is located in an intermontane tectonic depression in the northern portion of the Mongolian Altai. Its Surface area is 50.1 km2; the average depth is 26.6 m; the maximum depth is approximately 58 m. Khoton nuur has one Iceland which is covered by woods. The system of Khoton Nuur and Khurgan Nuur lakes, connected by a wide channel, is the source of the Hovd River which drains the whole Mongolian Altai. Lake Khoton Nuur was formed by glacial blockages. Khurgan nuur is the lowest point of Altai Tavan Bogd National park. Some fishes are in lake Khoton and lake Khurgan nuur.

 

   TSAMBAGARAV SACRED MOUNTAIN
Tsambagarav is a mountain between Khovd Province and Bayan-Olgii Province in western Mongolia, it is a mountain of the Altai Mountains range. It has two peaks, its highest peak "Tsast Uul" "snow-covered peak") has an elevation of 4,193 metres (13,757 ft) and another peak same named "Tsambagarav". The mountain is the stand-alone eternally snow-capped mountain of the Mongol Altai and the regional sacred mountain in Mongolia. Continue to uphold their ancient traditions such as hunting with eagles and weaving intricate wall hangings.

 

  OTGONTENGER SACRED MOUNTAIN
Otgontenger means "youngest sky" is the highest peak in the Khangai Mountains in Mongolia. Its summit is currently calculated to reach an elevation of 4,008 meters above mean sea level (some earlier topographic maps record a maximum elevation of 4,021 m). The mountain is located in Zavkhan Province and is the only peak in the Khangai range that is capped with a permanent glacier. The south face of Mount Otgontenger is the most extensive granite wall in Mongolia. Since the introduction of Buddhism, traditional Mongolian beliefs have held that wrathful deities inhabit many of Mongolia's sacred mountains. Ochirvaani is particularly associated with Otgontenger.

   GURVAN TSENKHER CAVE
This site is located in Mankhan county of Khovd province. Related to the upper Paleolithic period, the rock art found in Khoit Tsenkher Cave includes symbols, trees and animal forms painted from the walls up to the ceiling. In one of corners of the cave measuring 2.5 m high and 1.5-2.0 m deep, numerous symbols and animals were painted overlapping each other on the ceiling and wall. A quiet standing stag was portrayed clearly among the animals. Also a standing buffalo with horus looking ahead was represented separately. In another corner of the cave, many animals including oxes, ibexes, elephants, ostriches were pictured, overlapping each other. On its wall in a cave hollow measuring 10 m long and 8 m wide a camel with two humps was portrayed. By the method of painting of different kinds of animals, their color and view, the Khoit Tsenkher cave rock paintings show their original artistic, cultural and historical features which are different from the other rock paintings in Mongolia and her neighbouring countries. Some particular parts of the animals such as their horns, necks, humbs are depicted with an exaggerated hyper-realism typical of the Palaeolothic period. This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on August 1, 1996 in the Cultural category

   SENJIT KHAD MUKHARIIN ELS
Senjit Khad is located 95 kilometres (59,03 miles) North Uliastai, the rocky formations of Senjit Khad have a very interesting shape. In effects, the often violent wind coming from Gobi Desert drilled the rock in several places and, in the middle of the rock, there is a natural 6-metre-wide (19,69 feet) and 3,5-metre-high (11,48 feet) arch. This rocky formation is located on top of a hill from where you'll enjoy an amazing view on the whole area, with its desert-type landscapes typical of Gobi.

 

   ZAVKHAN GOL
Zavkhan River is a river in Mongolia. It flows from Khangai Mountains to Lake Khyargas, and has a draining area of over 71,000 km². The river forms most of the border between the Govi-Altai and Zavkhan aimags.
